MB149/146 Green Gem Sand

Green Gem Sand begins with urushi layers on the pen surface. Fine silver powder is added to create a metallic sheen, then covered with transparent green urushi. The process is repeated several times to build depth and luster.

This technique can also be adapted with other colored lacquers, and the polishing depth can be adjusted to reveal or soften the silver layer.
